At last, a general refund? [16 October 1998]
My bill, and those of others, has been delayed by almost a week. It finally turned up this morning, and was unexpectedly small. This was 'explained' by:
Cable to Cable credit -8.58Cr
I had a suspicion what this was, despite the opaque description, so I phoned up the usual 244 2111 number and had my suspicion confirmed. It's a refund for the amount I was overbilled over the Easter holiday - which was indeed £8.58. Check your bill.
This is excellent news, but the problem with a general refund is that those who complained at the time, including me, were often refunded a couple of months later. So some people have now been refunded twice ...
