Network Week lets fly [12 July 1998]

The consultant editor of Network Week, David Cartwright, got CWC to install his office telephony. Things went badly, and he let fly at CWC in his column with a very fiercely worded editorial (9 July 1998). It is much too long to reproduce here, and is not online, but here are a few quotes:
  • My dealings with C&W have been an absolute nightmare consisting of buck-passing and broken promises.
  • I have had a verbal offer from the regional director to pay at least part of the bill for this but, quite frankly, I won't believe a word of it until I see it in writing.
  • A company which, apparently, lies about having checked with the council on a lead time.
  • COLT have been immensely impressive in all respects and C&W has been totally shite in every way.
He did use the S-word in the last quote!

But there's nothing new about what he's saying; I've been collecting similar quotes for nearly 14 months now, and CWC were supposed to be doing something about the problems he lists several months ago ...
