It's on-the-record via a couple of sources and gyrations on all sides; telephone subscribers stay as they are. So former Videotron subscribers can continue to enjoy unmetered cable-cable off-peak local calls (what a mouthful) ...

It's still not clear about subscribers to both television and telephone; although there is no change to the telephone part, the general impression is that the new television packages are different names for similar services.

Most encouraging of all, though, is a strong feeling I get that the message about former Videotron subscribers being an asset - because they are loyal (!) and have had time and space to learn and build up a great deal of Internet expertise which could help CWC - is, despite it all, getting through.

Next thing to watch out for is new consumer contracts, which are supposedly being issued by the middle of this month. There is, shall I say, a bit of a story behind these ...
