A question in the House [25 July 1998]

Following the sudden end of the Manchester cable modem trial Ian Stewart, the constituency MP of some of those affected by the trial, submitted a written question to Parliament which was answered by the President of the Board of Trade.

The section of Hansard containing a transcript of the Parliamentary exchange (8 May 1998, column 520) is here. Mr Stewart was evidently trying to find out whether or not public money had been used to fund the trial; it had not been.
