Combined Service Discount removal is legally dubious [20 March 1998]
The Videotron Combined Service Discount has been removed; there has been some confusion about whether or not it would be. This was because many people who were expecting it to be removed in February only found that it was removed on opening their March bill.
In addition, telephone line rental has increased from £7.10 (undiscounted) to £7.98 per month, as expected.
Contract law is exceptionally complex: this said, several parties confirm that the increase is probably legally justified but that the removal is legally dubious. The legal page explains how you can fight back through the Small Claims Court, your Trading Standards Office and OFTEL.
