What CWC seem to have forgotten is that unmetered local calls are far from the only calls that
ex-Videotron subscribers make. They make metered calls and, in some cases, lots of them: the biggest spend per month I know of is a staggering - to
me - £700.
If unmetered local calls go, and the pledge signers and others go with them ... I leave you to do your own estimates of what
CWC will lose.
As well as altering the pledge so that everyone who signs it can now state at the time how much they
spend, I asked those who previously signed the pledge to tell me as well. So far 470 people have very kindly helped out, and their average
spend turns out to be £52 per month.
