Dear Mr Wallace,

I refer you to the Cable and Wireless Watch Web pages, in particular the news item
dated 5 February and the Times journalist's statement (copies enclosed).

I am immensely pleased and encouraged that CWC have, finally, seen sense.

Of course there has been a great deal of excitement about the news, but a few
correspondents are still sceptical as the news has not come *directly* from CWC
but, rather, through a newspaper. To pacify these people could you send me the
Press Office statement with your endorsement?

That done, I will be happy to display it to everyone, close down the site and go back
to being obscure.
